도서소개
≪역상고성후편≫에서는 태양의 가감차에 의한 일평균(평행, 원지점, 정교에 모두 영향), 태양과 지구 사이의 거리와 태양과 달의 원지점과의 관계에 의한 이평균, 태양과 달의 승(강)교정 사이의 관계로 인한 삼평균으로 하고, 태양의 위치가 달 궤도의 이심률에 영향을 주기에 이를 고려한 초균수(차각구각법 대신 양삼각법 사용), 지구와 태양까지의 거리와 달과 태양 사이의 각 거리의 영향 때문에 생기는 이균수(변출), 태양부터 달까지 실제 각거리와 태양과 달의 원지점 사이각 거리의 합에 영향을 받는 삼균과 앞의 두 각거리에 영향을 받는 말균으로 하는, 세 가지의 평균과 네 가지의 균수를 설명하고 있다. 이는 뉴턴의 7가지 지질차와 동일하다. 이 값들을 이용하여 승도차를 고려하여 달의 동지점 기준 경도와 이심률의 변화와 이에 따른 황도와 백도의 사이각의 변화를 고려하여 달의 황위를 구한다. 본서에서는 ≪역상고성후편≫의 내용 중에 달의 운행에 대한 원리, 계산법, 표만을 해설한다.

저자소개
강민정
서울대학교 지구과학교육과와 (구)민족문화추진회 국역연수원 상임연구부를 졸업한 후 성균관대학교 한문고전번역협동과정에서『구장술해(九章術解)의 연구와 역주』로 박사학위를 받았다. 한국고전번역원 연구원, 성균관대학교 대동문화연구원 수석연구원을 지냈으며, 이후 수년간 천문산법류(天文算法類) 한문 고전의 전문번역가로 활동하다가 지금은 한국고전번역원 부설 고전번역교육원의 교수이다.『승정원일기』,『무명자집』,『칠정산내편』 등의 번역에 참여하였다.
최승언
서울대학교 천문학과를 졸업한 후 미국 미네소타대학교 대학원에서 천체물리학으로 박사학위를 받았다. 서울대학교 지구과학교육과 교수, 한국지구과학회장을 역임하였으며, 지금은 서울대학교 명예교수이다. 저서로는 『천문학의 이해』,『천체물리학의 이해』,『최승언 교수의 천체지구과학 강의』,『숭정역서에 기록된 태양의 운동』,『역상고성에 기록된 태양의 운동』,『역상고성후편에 기록된 태양의 운동』 등이 있다.
