도서소개
이 책은 우선 생명과학의 의의와 생물계, 생명과학 탐구과정을 살펴본 후, 생물계에 따른 다양한 실험들을 직접 해볼 수 있는 내용으로 구성하였다. 또한 교육과정에서 강조하고 있는 융합적 측면의 실험도 가미하였다. 이 실험서에 포함된 실험들은 사전에 예비교사와 현장교사들이 실험을 해보고 초등 교사교육에 적용 가능한 실험인지, 시간 내에 가능한 것인지를 확인한 후 완성되었다.
개정판에서는 생물과 인간 실험실습 강의를 진행하면서 개발한 실험내용과 예비교사들의 생물학적 지식의 이해를 도울 수 있는 내용을 보충하였다.
한편, 학부나 대학원 수업에서 실험보고서를 매 차시별로 출력하여 제출하고 평가받는 번거로움을 덜기 위하여 실험책에 활동 결과들을 바로 정리할 수 있는 형태로 실험서를 구성하여 포트폴리오로서 역할을 하도록 하였다. 포트폴리오로서의 보고서를 완성함으로써 추후 학생들을 지도하기 위한 학습자료의 역할도 충분히 할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

저자소개
김동렬(Kim Dongryeul)
현재 대구교육대학교 과학교육과 교수로 재직 중이다. 10년간 고등학교 과학교사로 근무하였고, 이러한 교직 경험을 바탕으로 집필한 저서로는 『초등 과학교육 이론과 탐구, 창지사, 2022』, 『4On’s 기반 융합 과학활동의 이론과 실제, 교육과학사, 2020』, 『차별화된 과학수업 전략, 도서출판 신정, 2016』, 『과학교육연구방법의 시작에서 완성까지, 도서출판 신정, 2015』, 『과학교육 교수ㆍ학습의 실제, 교육과학사, 2010』이 있으며, 역서로는 『포토보이스 연구방법, 학지사, 2018』, 『질적연구에서 아동ㆍ청소년 면담 조사방법, 학지사, 2017』, 『알기 쉬운 혼합연구 방법, 학지사, 2017』, 『과학을 가르치기 위한 창의적인 방법들, 창지사, 2015』, 『초등교사를 위한 과학교육, 북스힐, 2014』 등을 출간하였다. 또한 다양한 연구방법을 적용한 과학교육연구 논문들을 발표하였으며, 미국 애리조나 대학에서 연구학자로 지내면서 양적ㆍ질적ㆍ혼합 연구방법을 적용한 과학교육연구에 참여하였다.
